The original Mercari price was a prank, according to a statement from the creator on social media.

Creator's Statement

The fan-creator behind the unofficial badge stated on X (formerly Twitter) that the prior 114,514-yen listing on Mercari was a prank, and clarified that the intended retail price is 810 yen (tax included) per badge. The creator explained the price as a play on the project's namesake number — a wish for "114514 to converge to 810 yen." The badges are now available through a BOOTH storefront. The creator also noted that prices may rise in the future depending on production costs.

Project's Position

The BOOTH storefront is not an official channel and is operated by a third-party fan. The 114514 Coin developer is not involved in the sale and receives no revenue from it. Consistent with the project's community merchandise guidelines published previously, purchases are made at the buyer's own risk.
