StylishNoob, one of Japan's most-watched gaming streamers with more than a million followers on Twitch, said during a YouTube broadcast on May 17 that he had briefly considered buying 114514 Coin — the meme token issued by this project — before being talked out of it by a fellow streamer.
Who Is StylishNoob
StylishNoob (real name: Seki Yuta) is among the most prominent gaming personalities in Japan. A former professional player, he captained Japan's national team at the 2016 Overwatch World Cup before transitioning to full-time streaming. In July 2021 he joined ZETA DIVISION, one of Japan's largest esports organizations, where he streams primarily FPS titles such as Apex Legends and Escape from Tarkov. His Twitch channel has roughly 1.08 million followers, placing him among the largest streamers in Japan by audience size. The remarks at issue were made during a casual broadcast marking his return from an extended streaming hiatus.
What Was Said on Stream
Seki said he first noticed 114514 Coin while scrolling X (formerly Twitter) during his break from streaming, after seeing the token's price rise on his timeline. On stream, he consulted fellow Japanese streamer Oniya, who advised against the purchase, calling the token a kusa-coin — Japanese internet slang for low-liquidity meme tokens with weak fundamentals. Following the advice, Seki said he was "glad he didn't buy," adding that meme tokens of this kind are reportedly difficult to cash out.
Project Statement
114514 Coin is a community-driven meme token built around "114514," a number widely circulated in Japanese internet meme culture. This project does not solicit investment or recommend purchase of the token. Cryptocurrencies, and meme tokens in particular, carry substantial structural risk — including total capital loss, liquidity shortfall, price manipulation, and rug pulls. Public mentions by streamers or other public figures do not constitute an endorsement of the token's value or safety. Readers should make any investment decision at their own risk and after consultation with qualified advisors.
